Facebook ‘dislike’ cum reaction button rolled out globally

Every day, people come to Facebook to discover what’s happening in their world and around the world, and to share all kinds of things, whether that’s updates that are happy, sad, funny or thought-provoking. News Feed is the central way you can get updates about your friends, family and anything else that matters to you, and the central place to have conversations with the people you care about. The Reactions, an extension of the Like button, to give you more ways to share your reaction to a post in a quick and easy way. As not every moment we feel happiness.
Facebook on Wednesday rolled out a new set of options for its 1.5 billion monthly users to use when responding to posts in their News Feeds.
Mark Zuckerberg referenced that desire in his announcement of the roll-out of Reactions.
“People wanted to express empathy and make it comfortable to share a wider range of emotions.”
To add a reaction, hold down the Like button on mobile or hover over the Like button on desktop to see the reaction image options, then tap either Like, Love, Haha, Wow, Sad or Angry.
The Reactions aren’t for users alone. They will provide Facebook with a deeper understanding of how people feel toward various posts — data Facebook potentially could use to help marketers create more meaningful content and ads
